TOURNAMENT RULES
- In general, California Grand rules for live games will govern unless, a specific tournament rule applies.
- Initial placement of the dealer button will be determined by the dealer turning a card face up, starting in seat 1, for each player. High card by rank and suit will get the button.
- If the tournament director decides to move a player, the dealer will be asked to turn a card face up for each player, beginning with seat 1. High card by rank and suit will be moved.
- A hand begins when the dealer cuts the cards to begin the next hand.
- Players may not check hands down with other players.
- Players must not expose their hands before the showdown. Players must not make comments which influence another player’s play while a hand is in progress.
- When it becomes necessary to race-off for odd chips, it will be done in such a way that no player will receive more than one chip in a single race-off. Players may not be busted by the race-off (i.e. any player with 4 or less grey chips, 3 or less yellow chips, or 4 or less green chips, when racing them off, will automatically receive a higher denomination chip and will not be eligible for the race-off.
- Players may remain playing in live games as long as they do not play a hand in the tournament. Once they have played a hand, they must cash out.
- Players may be removed from a tournament, for improper or disruptive behavior, at any time, at the tournament director or management’s discretion. Buy-ins and entry fees will not be refunded!
- During any hand, once there is only one player not all-in, all remaining players must immediately turn their hands face-up.
- Tournament directors’ decisions are final.
