July 30, 2009: The California Grand Casino, a popular East Bay card room, has expanded into a brand new facility. The impressive new building at 5988 Pacheco Blvd., just off Highway 680 at Concord Ave., is located across the street from its previous address.
The elegant new facility offers many upscale amenities such as an expansive gaming area with additional seating, a full bar, sit down restaurant and a large banquet/meeting room. The facility also features a large parking lot with valet parking.
According to Lamar "Wil" Wilkinson, the long time owner, "We want to provide the best possible experience for our players. This beautiful new facility gives our customers a lot more room to play and relax. There are large flat screen TVs on the walls, a nice restaurant and bar, plus plenty of parking."

The busy Limit and No Limit Texas Hold'em games go on 24 hours a day. A weekly No Limit Hold'em Tournament is held every Sunday morning at 10:30 am.

About the California Grand Casino:Dating back to 1854, the California Grand Casino has a rich and colorful history. In the 1850's, the town of Pacheco was the largest and most enterprising town in Contra Costa County. Built along Pacheco Creek, which led to the San Francisco Bay Delta, the town served as a major shipping and receiving area for the Diablo Valley. Ranchers, farmers and miners would bring their goods and products to Pacheco to be shipped. The original building, at the corner of Pacheco Blvd. and Center Ave., served as a hotel, saloon, stagecoach and Wells Fargo Pony Express Stop.
